My Tried and Tested Recommended Walking Boots for all Seasons.

My Tried and Tested Recommended Walking Boots for all Seasons.

I had never really worn walking boots until the last year. I’d always walked and hiked in gym trainers, however after being sent a pair of walking boots perfect for the summer weather last year I am now a total convert, not only wearing them when out hiking but also just walking around cities! They are so much comfier with so much more support for my feet and knees, and considering I am prone to blisters and worryingly bad knees for my age, that’s perfect! Walking boots are no longer super ugly either, some are pretty fashionable!

Over the last year I have been able to test out a range of Walking Boots perfect for each season and in some cases, a range of seasons meaning I got even more wear out of them.

If you’re looking for a sturdy pair of Walking Boots that are comfy but look good then I’d definitely recommend these 4 pairs of Walking Boots, perfect for each season.

Summer – Merrell Siren Sport Q2

The best thing about this pair of Merrell Siren Sport Q2 Shoes is the fact that they are shoes rather than boots, their ankle height means my feet didn’t get too hot, even on the sweatiest of days. They are really breathable with great support, so much more than gym trainers even though they are a similar shape.

I wore these shoes whilst hiking in Ireland, Wales and Dover in the summer and they were perfect!

Also perfect for – Spring & Autumn!

Autumn – Keen Terradora Leather Mid Waterproof Boots

I wore these Keen Terradorra Boots on so many of my European City Breaks during the Autumn and Winter as well as wearing them on the odd hike and park walk. Firstly I love the brown as it suited so many of my dark winter outfits, they’re perfect for Country to City travel.

I also love that these boots have so much underfoot comfort, they are breathable yet warm and waterproof. They’re also surprisingly light and have fitted in my hand luggage case no problem on various occasions. I have a feeling these will be my Hiking and City Break go-to boots for some time!

Also perfect for – Winter!

Winter – Keen Footwear Hoodoo III Lace Up Boots

Another pair of fab Keen Boots that I’ve loved are the Keen Hoodoo III Lace up boots. These are perfect for those snowy, cold days and trips. I wore them on a Ski Trip to Austria and they were brilliant! My feet were so warm the whole time thanks to them being really insulated and waterproof. They kept me safe on the ice thanks to their grip, and they saved my feet when I wore them Tobogganing due to the really solid sole!

Also perfect for – Just Winter I’d say, but for a range of Winter activities!

Spring – Salomon X Ultra 3 GTX

These Salomon X Ultra 3 GTX’s are again, shoes rather than boots which means they’re great for when the weather is getting a bit warmer thanks to their low ankle height and trainer look. I love that they don’t have laces and instead have a pull cord which makes them really easy to take on and off. They have been made for long, tough hikes due to their awesome grip and durability! Not only that but they’re really light and fitted into my carry on really well!

Also perfect for – Spring & Autumn!
