I loved my recent road trip in Devon and it truly showed me just how much Devon has to offer, especially with its North and South Coast which both offer a totally different vibe with many seaside towns and coastal walks. And the dramatic Dartmoor National Park filled with wild ponies and footpaths surrounded by many pretty villages and towns in Devon too!

Glamping in Devon
Devon Glamping
I have carefully chosen the below properties from Unique hideaways. This is because Unique hideaways is a collection of one-of-a-kind places to stay in hidden places in the UK. All properties belong to independent owners, hence their personal names like Hayley’s Hut and Rosie’s Hut so you will get local knowledge from the owners, personal touches and you are supporting their small businesses!
1. Hayley’s Hut – Glamping in North Devon
Hayley’s hut is a Shepherd’s Hut in Devon that sits on a lake offering a quiet and private space for you to relax in nature. It has a wood burner to keep you warm all year round and although it is small inside it has all you need.
I love the outdoor private seating area right on the lake and of course, the wonderful hot tub that sits right on the lake too! I know a lot of people want a hot tub when glamping, so this is an ideal place for glamping in Devon with a hot tub.
Located in North Devon, Hayley’s Hut is well located for coastal walks, you can easily visit the popular beach of Woolacombe and I recommend Westward Ho! beach from my time in Devon!
2. Whittlers Yurt – Yurts in Devon
If you’re looking for a Yurt holiday in Devon, Whittlers Yurt is perfect for you! Especially if you’re looking for glamping in North Devon!
This Yurt in Devon is a Mongolian Yurt and has been designed with a Bohemian vibe. It is incredibly unique with lots of colour!
If you are a couple who likes to meditate and do yoga, the inside of the Yurt, the woodland outside and the lake which belongs to the owners nearby are amazing settings for you to do yoga and meditate and to connect with your mind, body and soul in nature.
I really like that the Yurt has a kitchen for self-catering but the kitchen is in a separate room to the main yurt, I think this helps keep the yurt feeling romantic and cosy.
This Yurt in Devon is also in a great location in North Devon close to the coast for plenty of coastal walks and for something extra unique, you could get the boat to Lundy Island and go diving with seals!
3. Bowhay Shepherd’s Hut – Glamping South Devon
This is a very typical looking Shepherd’s Hut in Devon on the South Coast close to Totnes which is a popular and famous historical town in Devon.
Bowhay Shepherd’s Hut has been well thought out, it is only small but it offers a practical stay with kitchen facilities and plenty of seating without losing its romantic feel.
And of course in true glamping fashion, it has an en-suite shower room with a flushing toilet and shower room, and a hot tub to stargaze from, this is luxury glamping Devon!
We’re looking at unique glamping stays in Devon and what makes this Hut in Devon even more unique is that your neighbours will be Alpacas!
4. Wild Pear Shepherd’s Hut – Glamping Near Ilfracombe
For glamping in North Devon with an ocean view, Wild Pear Shepherd’s Hut is for you! You will wake up to the view of the ocean!
Well located near the popular seaside town of Ilfracombe and not too far from Woolacombe, this gorgeous glamping hut in Devon is the perfect place to escape and enjoy nature from.
I love glamping sites that are perfect all year round and Wild Pear Shepherd’s Hut certainly is as it is sheep’s wool insulated and has a wood burner for those colder days and has outside cooking facilities and seating for those summer days.
5. Rosie’s Hut – Glamping Near Dartmouth
Rosie’s Shepherd’s Hut and its Hot Tub are literally surrounded by nature and farmland offering a tranquil, relaxing and romantic break.
I love the way Rosie’s hut has been designed, it is the picture perfect Shepherd’s Hut with everything you need inside, plus a king sized bed overlooking rolling hills!
Totnes and Dartmouth are popular places in Devon nearby but you can also spend your days walking the fields and woods belonging to the farm land you are staying on.
6. Dartmoor Cabin – Glamping in Dartmoor
The Dartmoor National Park is a great place in Devon if you want to go hiking and this Dartmoor Cabin is in a brilliant location with lots of hikes on the doorstep! In fact, the cabin looks over Haytor and you can easily do Haytor walk from here!
This Cabin in Devon is on a working farm but offers privacy, wild beauty and calming tranquility.
It is a simple cabin but has all that you need to relax at after a long day of hiking and it’s perfect all year round as it has a lovely big garden with outdoor seating in the summer and a wood burner and seating inside in the summer.
If you’re looking for glamping in Devon with dogs, this is a dog friendly glamping site in Devon too and your dog will love all the space on offer!
7. Shepherd’s Delight – Glamping Near Exeter
Shepherd’s Delight really is a delightful place for glamping near Exeter. It is in a great location just outside of Exeter where there are plenty of things to do, but when you reach it, you will feel like you are a million miles away from a busy Devon city!
I love the location of this hut right on the lake which you can enjoy from the outdoor decking area and hammock, or see from your own private boat on the lake! Yes, the hut comes with a boat!
The cabin and lake are located deep within the trees for plenty of privacy and romance.
The size of this cabin adds to its charm, it has everything you’ll need for a relaxing stay and has eco-features like solar panels for the lights. The cabin is dog friendly as long as it behaves around the livestock as the cabin is on a working farm.
8. Rosewood Yurt – Devon Yurt Holidays
Yurt’s are really fun and unique places to stay, and for Yurts in North Devon, Rosewood Yurt is the best place to stay!
Located not far from the popular seaside town of Bude, Rosewood Yurts offers luxury glamping in Devon because of its spacious, airy, modern yet cosy Yurt which is located in a meadow surrounded by woodland.
Because this is luxury glamping there is a ensuite bathroom with a free standing bath, a flushing toilet and plenty of hot water along with a fully kitted out kitchen and you’ll even have access to a washing machine and tumble drier!
Rosewood is located in an area of Devon called Ruby Country which is a really unspoilt area of Devon and it borders Cornwall. So if you are looking for glamping in Devon and Cornwall, this Yurt on the border is ideal!
