I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Hilton Dalman Sarigerme with my husband and nearly-2-year-old toddler. I booked this hotel because of how good the kids facilities looked and honestly, I was blown away with everything the hotel has to offer for families whilst maintaining an aesthetic look and elevated, sophisicated feel.

So in this Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme review, I will share why we loved it so much, why visiting the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme with children is a great idea, including all the facilities they offer like the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme kids club, and small touches for kids (hello dedicated kids buffet and sun loungers!). Along with some tips to help you book and pack! So save this post to come back to!

We booked our trip with Jet2holidays. They make booking holidays to Turkey really easy with flights, transfers, and the all inclusive hotel included meaning you really don’t need to worry about a thing and you actually get a holiday, so be sure to check out their offers!

Is Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Good for Families?

A big yes!! I visited mid-June and the hotel was busy, but not tooo busy, with lots of families with young children, and prams all around. I particularly saw lots of families with 1 older toddlers and1 young baby and honestly, this hotel and this type of holiday is ideal for this family set up because the toddlers / young children have plenty of places to play, a variety of swimming facilities, evening entertainment and a kids club once they are 3.

At the same time, parents can also look after the little babies on the shaded sun loungers (of which there are plenty, something I really loved) and inside the kids club staying with the baby in the baby room, and the resort is large for plenty of pram walks inside and outside.

Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa is highly rated as one of the best hotels for families in Turkey and in Southern Turkey because of all its amazing facilities. Things I noticed and I loved from the big, to little touches are:

  • Baby & toddler waterpark
  • 2 x kids waterpark for different ages
  • Shallow areas in main pool
  • Shaded sun loungers
  • Kids size sun loungers
  • Plastic plates & bowls and disposable bibs in buffet dining room
  • Kids buffet with simple foods in buffet dining room
  • Plenty of highchairs in all restaurants
  • Shop with toys and floaties
  • Shaded outdoor play area
  • Access to kids club for under 3’s with parents
  • Kids club aged 3-10
  • Youngsters club aged 11-15
  • Art school
  • Evening entertainment
  • Outside family games area
  • Football and tennis areas
  • Huge beds in bedrooms
  • Cots available for bedrooms
  • 30 minutes from Dalaman Airport

In addition to all of this, the hotel felt incredibly safe. I’m not promoting it, but we left out bags multiple times on sun loungers because our toddler constantly wandered off, and everything felt really safe and secure. The staff were all amazing with our toddler and the other kids, giving high 5’s remembering their name and what drink they liked.

All of these details really add up to why it felt so nice to be there as a family and although there were a number of adults, couples and groups of friends without kids, because of all the family facilities at the Hilton Dalaman, it definitely felt like children should be there and were welcomed!

Pools & Aquapark at Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme

The pool areas at the Hilton Dalaman are one of the main reasons I booked our holiday here. The main pool is really huge with an adults only section, a games section, and a section that is aimed at families ensuring you don’t need to worry about your kids splashing adults who don’t want to be splashed.

Children’s pools and water slides

For the little ones, there is a small, round baby and toddler pool that is not vey deep and features 3 small slides. It’s a great size and located close to the main pool so you can walk between the pools easily and is surrounded by shaded sun-loungers, perfect if you are visiting Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme with a baby alongside an older child!

There is an aqua park with multiple waterslides and a pool area attached aimed at older kids and adults.

Additionally, attached to the kids club is a pool with smaller waterslides (but still quite big), both slide areas have sun lounger in them too.

GOOD INFO TO KNOW:

  • Pools are open all day but the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme water slides close from 12:00-14:00
  • Poolside is quite slippy and we found the bottom of the toddler pool slippy so kids swimming shoes / socks are ideal. (They sell them in the shop!)
  • The pools are full of floaties but you do need to bring your own, plus any other water toys. They are not provided by the hotel. (They also sell them in the shop)

Indoor heated pool

If you are visiting the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme in winter or the off-seasons, their indoor heated pool is pretty huge and ideal if you want warm water. We had 1 slightly colder day because of the wind in June and I saw lots of families with younger children in here.

What’s great is that this area is not connected to the spa and there is an additional spa swimming pool and chill area so you are not disturbing spa guests in this indoor swimming pool.

The CARPI Kids Club — Ages, Hours & What to Expect

As far as family holidays go, the Hilton Dalaman has to have the best kids club facilities! The kids club areas are really big, colourful and clean, without being imposing on the overall look of the hotel. They are in their own section partially hidden by the trees but easily accessible from the pools and rooms. If you are looking for the best family hotels in Dalaman Turkey, this is why this hotel is highly rated!

What’s included for babies, toddlers and older children?

There are so many activities and areas to play with young babies, toddlers and older children.

First off, there is an outdoor shaded wooden play area with slides to suit all ages, a games area attached to Breeze cafe with giant chess, table football and more. Lawn areas with football goals, an art school you can attend with your child or they can attend during kids club.

In terms of costs, everything is included and there is no need to pay anything extra for the kids club.

From my research asking the staff and experience, the only extras are if you want a baby sitting service (available for 2-10 year olds) and you need to pay for t-shirts if you child paints a t-shirt in art school.

Baby & Toddler Rooms (0-3)

What is brilliant is that as a parent with a child under 3, you can access all of the young kids club areas I mention below with your child.

I spent time with my toddler in the kids club whilst he played with their huge train set, with the role play kitchen, rode on the tractors, went on the trampoline and so much more. This area makes visiting Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme with toddlers really ideal with plenty to do!

They also have 2 rooms inside aimed at babies with cribs, a nursing chair and baby focused toys. It’s a great space to get away from the heat and water but keep them occupied.

It’s like taking them to a play cafe or soft play at home but so much more chilled and then you can step outside afterwards and go swimming!

Kids Club (ages 3–11)

CAPRI Kids club runs out of a really nice building with shaded outdoor areas and multiple indoor rooms. Because my toddler is still 1 years old, I obviously couldn’t leave him so I played with him inside on multiple occasions and saw the kids in kids club finishing as their parents picked them up and they were all so happy with their arts crafts.

In the morning the younger ones did some exercises with the teacher and then they headed off to art school and played inside.

The main thing to note is that kids need to be toilet trained to be able to stay independently. When I went, only their morning session from 10:00-12:30 was for kids club and their afternoon session was family time inside the kids club so when you arrive, head to the reception to see what’s on and the timings.

Youngsters Club (ages 10–15)

The Youngers Club is one of the really unique things about the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme and what makes it one of the best resorts in Turkey for kids because they offer an amazing about of activities and facilities for ages 10-15 aimed at pre-teens and teenagers!

Obviously, I didn’t go into the Youngsters Club as I didn’t have the need to but from outside I could see all of their daily activities and from the photos of the pool table and games, it looks really great and ideal for kids that don’t want to feel like ‘kids’ but are still young.

On a few occasions I saw a group of early teenagers with a member of staff off to play tennis or football. The staff member was really engaging with them and I can imagine they are a lot of fun to be around and exactly what this age group needs!

Family Rooms — What You Need to Know Before Booking

There are a range of rooms to choose from at the hotel, we stayed in a king room with a garden view, and although we were directly under the restaurant with the restaurant outdoor area outside our balcony, with the balcony door shut we couldn’t hear a thing which was great!

I will say that the king room has 2 small double beds zipped together and the bed was huge!!! We have a super king at home and when we got home our bed felt small!

The king bed was amazing for co-sleeping because we all had SO much room, a major bonus!

Food & Dining for Kids and Fussy Eaters

In this section of this Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme review, I’ll share about the food options. The hotel only has one board which is all inclusive plus.

The main buffet restaurant is open for all 3 meals. This is a great place for families with really lovely outdoor seating too.

There is a kids buffet station offering basic foods like chips, plain kofta/burgers, some veg and then lots of chopped salad options, along with kids plastic plates and bowls, and disposable bibs which is a great touch. They only offer wooden cutlery though, not kids sized metal cutlery, and highchairs were readily available.

The food in the buffet restaurant is great with so many options, along side the kids buffet there are 3 huge salad stations, a bread station, many meats, and always a pasta area which is perfect for kids too!

In addition to this main restaurant, included in the all-inclusive package are 3 day-time cafes dotted around the hotel, all of these offer a range of foods suitable for kids too, the only thing is that they don’t have the plastic plates available.

There are also a number of restaurants where a cover fee of 40-45 euro pp is required. We didn’t eat in any of these but I had a look in a few and highchairs were available and kids are welcome.

Evening Entertainment for Families

The kids clubs close at 17:00 and reopen at about 20:30 with some evening entertainment. Even though my toddler was too young really, we went one evening for the disco which was a nice 30 minute fun activity with staff on stage dancing with the kids, followed by a film and the kids all sat on bean bags to watch.

I loved that the kids entertainment was specifically for them in their kids area. Parents could leave their older kids during the film but some stayed. I noticed a staff member ask one of the parents what drink they had got from the bar and reminded them alcohol was not allowed.

Many hotels for families will do entertainment for kids in bar areas so people are drinking around the children and people who aren’t there with children are also around the children, but here, it was very intentional and separate.

What Parents Will Love (Spa, Beach, Activities)

This family review of the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme is huge and I haven’t even told you about the beach! The hotel has its own beach with a pier, it’s a black sand beach, great for playing in and it’s huge. I did find the water quite rough so it wasn’t great for children but maybe because we went in June.

For the parents, there is a spa too. I will say that I didn’t have the best experience, I had a facial and a relaxing massage and neither were that relaxing and felt very rushed at the end, but, it was nice to leave my toddler with my husband for a bit of me-time.

Honest Verdict — Who Is This Resort Best For?

This resort is just really ideal for families with younger, and older kids and really perfect if you have children spanning a range of ages because the kids club accommodates for a range of ages and so do all of the facilities.

As I said, I saw many parents here with an older toddler and younger baby and if you can put the toddler into the kids club you get some free time alone with the baby, and the swimming areas are set up for a range of ages.

I’d love to bring my older stepsons here one day because I know they would love the huge pool and all the amazing food. And in just over a year I could try to get my toddler to stay at the kids club.

We booked our flights to Dalaman with Jet2 and had a great experience with them. In my experience, Jet2 staff are always so friendly and welcoming, especially when you are flying with kids, so definietly have a look for flights from Manchester Airport and their other UK airports for this trip to Dalaman!

I’d also be keen to visit the Hilton Dalaman in off season because their indoor pool is huge and many of the kids club activities are still on (just not the full schedule).
