If you are looking for the best pumpkin patches Leeds has to offer this autumn, you are in the right place. I have rounded up 11 farms in and around the city, including the outer Yorkshire area with their 2026 dates, prices and booking rules.

Just like the pumpkin patches in Manchester and nearby, there are various pumpkin picking places in Leeds, from free fields where you just turn up, pick some pumpkins and go home, to full Halloween festivals with shows and fairground rides. Six of these are within the Leeds boundary and most of the rest are within a 30 to 45 minute drive. I have grouped them by area so you can find the one closest to you.

All details were correct for the 2026 season at the time of writing (October 2026). Farms do change things at short notice, especially if the weather turns bad, so always check their own website before you set off.

Quick tips for pumpkin picking near Leeds

  • Book the big ones early. Farmer Copley’s, Horsforth Pick Your Own, Swithens Farm and Lineham Farm all sell tickets in advance, and the half term slots (24 to 31 October 2026) go first.
  • Check how you are paying. Some farms charge entry, others are free to enter. Some price each pumpkin by size but Stockeld Park for example weighs your haul.
  • Dress for a Yorkshire hilltop. Fields here can be exposed and very muddy, so wellies and a waterproof are a must, even if you think they aren’t!
  • Go early in the season for choice, late for atmosphere. The first weekends have the biggest pumpkins; half term week brings the fancy dress, the shows and the golden autumn leaves.

A tractor ride takes you out to the field, which is an attraction in itself for little ones. It is one of the most popular pumpkin patches in Leeds, meaning half term slots and weekend slots tend to go quickly so book asap!
